Extending the facility to freedom fighters/their widows, Ministry of Railways has decided that the 1st Class / 2nd AC Complimentary Card passes issued to freedom fighters/their widows shall also be valid for travel in 2ndAC/3rd AC in Durantotrains along with one companion in same class, besides the facility of rail travel already admissible .
Earlier, freedom fighters/their widows receiving pension from Central revenues under the “Swantantrata Sanik Samman Pension Scheme “ of the Government of India , are issued Complimentary Card passes on life time basis for free rail travel over all Indian Railways ( except Metro Railway/Kolkatta ) in 1st Class / 2nd AC along with one companion in same Class by any train including Rajdhani / Shatabdi/ Jan Shatabdi trains.
