JUMBO BLOCK ON DOWN SLOW LINE BETWEEN MAHALAXMI & SANTACRUZ STATIONS ON SUNDAY 29TH DECEMBER, 2013

To carry out maintenance work of track, signalling & overhead equipments, a jumbo block will be taken between Mahalaxmi and Santacruz stations from 10.35 hrs to 15.35 hrs on Sunday i.e 29th December, 2013 on Down local i.e slow line.

During the block period, all Down slow line trains will run on Down through (i.e. fast) lines between Mumbai Central and Santacruz stations. These diverted trains will not halt at Mahalaxmi, Elphinstone Road and Matunga Road for want of platform, hence passengers are allowed to travel in opposite direction for their destinations between Bandra and Mumbai Central stations. All 12-car slow trains will take double halt at Lower Parel, Mahim Jn and Khar Road.

Level Crossing gate No. 19 situated between Bandra and Khar Road will remain closed for road traffic during the block period. Due to the block, some up & down local trains will remain cancelled, the list of which will be available at all stations.

Detailed information to this effect is available with concerned Station Masters. Passengers are requested to take note of the above arrangements.
