Western Railway's Costing and Market Research Cell recently organised a Buyer-Seller Meet at Churchgate. Representatives from about 50 firms from public sector, large and small scale industries participated in the event. During the event, presentations were made to the firms on the new developments that are taking place in the Materials Management functions on Western Railway including implementation of E-Procurement & E-Auction.
This event proved to be a great success and was appreciated by the representatives of the various industries. This kind of an event was held for the first time on Western Railway and it was a good forum for exchange of views, ideas and suggestions for both the buyers i.e. Railways and the sellers i.e. firms.
