WR PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE DEPARTED SOULS OF 7/11 BLAST VICTIMS

 

Shri S.K. Jain, Additional General Manager, Western Railway, offering
wreath at Mahim station on 11th July 2011, to pay tribute to the victims
who lost their lives in 7/11/2006  bomb blasts
          On July 11, 2006, in dastardly act of cowardice, suspected terrorists exploded bombs in the first class coaches of seven suburban trains at Matunga Road, Mahim Jn, Bandra, Santacruz, Jogeshwari, Borivali and Bhayandar. Though the gravity of the loss of 7/11/2006 blast victims cannot be measured emotionally, Western Railway, which made best efforts to provide relief to the victims to the maximum possible extent, paid tribute to the blast victims.
 
          On this solemn occasion, wreaths were placed by Shri Subodh Jain, Addl. General Manager at Mahim station, Shri A.K. Malhotra, Chief Electrical Engineer at Matunga Road station, Shri S. Bhattacharya, Chief Personnel Officer at Bandra station, Shri G.S. Banerjee, Chief Commercial Manager at Santacruz station, Shri V. Srihari, Principal Chief Engineer at Jogeshwari station, Shri K.K. Atal, Chief Mechanical Engineer at Borivali station and Shri K.S. Krishna kumar, Chief Signal & Telecommunication Engineer at Bhayandar railway station. Two minutes silence was observed at these places.
