W.RLY VIGILANCE TEAM CATCHES UNAUTHORIZED AGENT & PASSENGERS TRAVELING o­n FAKE AADHAAR CARDS

In yet another feat by Western Railway, the Vigilance Team of Western Railway caught hold of agents and passengers traveling o­n fake Aadhar cards. During the intensive investigation o­n 4th November,2019 , the Vigilance Team caught three passengers travelling o­n fake Aadhar Cards and handed over them to RPF/GRP for further inquiry. The passengers travelling o­n fake Aadhar Card have given the name of an agent who made such fake IDs and the work to catch him is also expedited.

 

According to a press release issued by Shri Ravinder Bhakar – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the surprise check conducted by the Vigilance Team consisted of Shri Himanshu Kapadiya – Chief Vigilance Inspector, Shri Shaikh Mohd. Zuber – Vigilance Inspector along with Shri Niraj Mehta – Dy. CTI/ADI and Shri Saji Phillip - Dy. CTI/CCM Squad to inspect Train No. 22956 Bhuj – Bandra Terminus Kutch Express. In the surprise check conducted from 30th October, 2019 till present the team has caught 67 fake passengers and recovered Rs. 62,310/- from them. In addition to this, RPF Ahmedabad arrested an agent named Ashish Darji from whom 98 E-tickets were seized. Out of these, 91 tickets were reported to be from the suspected 282 PNRs of the Vigilance department. In the recent past, the Vigilance Team o­n scrutiny of certain suspicious booking transactions in PRS system detected that the E – Tickets booked in train No. 22956 Bhuj – Bandra Terminus Kutch Express were booked using the same name of passengers o­n different days of Diwali holidays. It was also suspected that the tickets were booked by unauthorized tickets agents using dubious software.
