प्रकरणोंमें125.91 करोड़रु.जुर्मानेकीप्राप्ति
पश्चिम रेलवेद्वारा अप्रैल, 2019 से फरवरी, 2020 तकबिनाटिकट/अनियमितटिकटपरयात्राकरनेवालोंकेविरुद्धसघनअभियानचलायागया।इसकेपरिणामस्वरूपबिनाबुककियेगयेसामानकेप्रकरणोंसहितबिनाटिकटयात्रा/अनियमितयात्राकेलगभग26.04 लाखमामलेपकड़ेगये। इन मामलों में 125.91 करोड़ रु.जुर्मानेस्वरूपप्राप्तकियेगये, जोपिछलेवर्षकीआलोच्यअवधिकीतुलनामें7.74 प्रतिशतअधिकहैं।इसकेअतिरिक्त2565 भिखारियोंतथा5689 अनधिकृतफेरीवालोंको रेल परिसर से बाहर कर जुर्मानावसूलकियागया तथा 1307 व्यक्तियोंकोजेलभेजागया। वहीं सिर्फ फरवरी, 2020 मेंबिनाटिकट/अनियमितटिकटपरयात्राकरनेतथाबिनाबुककियेगयेसामानकेप्रकरणोंसहितलगभग2.59 लाखमामलों में 12.38 करोड़ रु.जुर्मानेके रूप में प्राप्तकियेगये। 162 भिखारियोंतथा 411 अनधिकृतफेरीवालोंको रेल परिसर से बाहर कर जुर्मानावसूलकियागया तथा 52 व्यक्तियोंकोजेलभेजागया।
पश्चिम रेलवे के मुख्य जनसम्पर्क अधिकारी श्री रविंद्र भाकर द्वारा जारी एक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार अप्रैल, 2019 से फरवरी,2020 केदौरानपश्चिमरेलवेकेवाणिज्यविभागद्वारादलालोंतथाअसामाजिकतत्त्वोंकेविरुद्धपश्चिम रेलवेद्वारा2669 जाँचेंआयोजितकीगईं।इनकेपरिणामस्वरूप2266 व्यक्तियोंकोपकड़ागया तथारेलअधिनियमकीविभिन्नधाराओं केतहतमुकदमाचलाकर उनसे जुर्माना प्राप्त किया गया। अप्रैल, 2019 से फरवरी, 2020 केदौरानसुरक्षिणी दस्ते द्वारा रेलवे परिसंचरण क्षेत्रों से 1870 भिखारियों को वहाँ से हटाया गया, जबकि सिर्फ फरवरी, 2020 में109 भिखारियोंकोहटायागया।फरवरी, 2020 केदौरानदलालोंऔरअन्यअसामाजिकतत्त्वोंकेविरुद्ध 276 जाँचेंकीगईतथा127 व्यक्तियोंकोपकड़ागयातथारेलअधिनियमकीविभिन्नधाराओं केतहतमुकदमाचलाकर उनसे जुर्माना प्राप्त किया गया।
पश्चिम रेलवेद्वारा बिनाटिकटयात्राकरनेवालोंकेविरुद्धनियमित रूप से ऐसेसघनअभियानचलाकर कड़ी कार्रवाई सुनिश्चित की जाती रही है। अपने अधिकृत रेल उपभोक्ताओं को बेहतर सुविधाएँ उपलब्ध कराने तथा बिना टिकट यात्रा में कमी लाने के उद्देश्य से पश्चिम रेलवे द्वारा हमेशा कारगर कदम उठाये जाते रहे हैं। पश्चिम रेलवे के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों द्वारा बिना टिकट यात्रा के कारण होने वाली राजस्व क्षति तथा इस तरह की अन्य अनियमितताओं पर कड़ी निगरानी रखी जाती है। पश्चिम रेलवेद्वारायात्रियोंसेअपीलकीगईहैकिवेउचितटिकटखरीदकरसम्मानकेसाथयात्राकरें।

W. RLY RECOVERS RS. 125.91 CRORE FROM 26.04 LAKH CASES
OF TICKETLESS & IRREGULAR TRAVEL FROM
APRIL, 2019 TO FEBRUARY, 2020
Western Railway conducted regular checks from April, 2019 to February, 2020 wherein about 26.04 lakh cases of ticketless/irregular travel including unbooked luggage cases were detected, resulting in recovery of Rs. 125.91 crore which is 7.74% more than the corresponding period of last year. Besides, 2565 beggars & 5689 unauthorized hawkers etc. were apprehended, evicted, fined and 1307 persons were sent to jail. In the month of February 2020 alone, Rs. 12.38 crore was recovered in 2.59 lakh cases of ticketless/irregular travel including unbooked luggage cases. 162 beggars & 411 unauthorized hawkers etc. were apprehended, evicted, fined and 52 persons were sent to jail.
According to a press release issued by Shri Ravinder Bhakar - Chief Public Relations Officer of W. Rly, 2669 checks were conducted during the period from April, 2019 to February, 2020 against touts and other anti-social elements by Western Railway’s Commercial Department. As a result, 2266 persons were apprehended and prosecuted and fined under various sections of Railways Act. Also, 1870 beggars were detected and removed from railway premises by Surakshini squad during the period from April, 2019 to February 2020, out of which 109 beggars were detected in the month of February alone. During the month of February 2020, 276 checks were conducted against touts and other anti-social elements and 127 persons were apprehended and prosecuted and fined under various sections of Railways Act.
Western Railway regularly conducts such drives against ticketless travellers. In its endeavor to provide better services to its bonafide rail users and also to curb ticketless travelling, WR has regularly been taking necessary steps. Senior Officers are closely monitoring the revenue loss due to ticketless travel and such other irregularities. WR urges all rail users to buy proper railway ticket and travel with dignity.
