चिकित्सा विभाग

पश्चिम रेलवे का चिकित्सा विभाग व्यापक स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं अर्थात प्रशासनिक,उपचारात्मक,निवारक औरप्रोत्साहन सेवाएं प्रदान करता है।ये सेवाएं तीन स्तरों पर प्रदान की जाती हैं अर्थात स्वास्थ्य इकाइयाँ (प्राईमरी हेल्थ केयर - बेसिक हेल्थ केयर ), उप मंडल, मंडल अस्पताल, कारखाना अस्पताल (सेकेंडरी हेल्थ केयर - स्पेशियलिटी - हेल्थ केयर) और जोनल अस्पताल ( टेर्शियरी हेल्थ केयर - स्पेशियलिटी और सुपर स्पेशियलिटी हेल्थ केयर)

चिकित्सा विभाग, भारतीय रेलवे पर चिकित्सा और स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं के पैटर्न के अनुरूप एक सुगठित संगठन के जरिए व्यापक स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं प्रदान करता है। सेवारत रेलवे कर्मचारी और उनके परिवार के सदस्य और आश्रित, सेवानिवृत्त रेलवे कर्मचारी, उनके परिवार के सदस्य और आश्रित और कुछ अन्य श्रेणियों के कर्मचारी जैसे ठेकेदार, श्रमिक, विक्रेता, लाइसेंस प्राप्त पोर्टर आदि सहित लाभार्थियों की संख्या लगभग5.5 लाख हैं।

इन सेवाएं, 1 क्षेत्रीय अस्पताल; 1 कार्यशाला अस्पताल;  5 मंडल अस्पताल और 2 उप-मंडल अस्पताल;  56 स्वास्थ्य इकाइयाँ और 9 लॉकअप डिस्पेंसरी नेटवर्क के जरिए प्रदान की जाती हैं।   

 

Medical department of Western Railway provides comprehensive health care i.e. Administrative, Curative, Preventive and Promotive services. These services are provided at three levels i.e. Health Units (Primary Health Care- basic health care), Sub divisional, Divisional Hospitals,  Workshop Hospital (Secondary Health Care - speciality health care) and Zonal Hospital (Tertiary Health Care - specialty & super specialty health care).

The Medical Department, in keeping with pattern of Medical & Health services on Indian Railways provides comprehensive health care through a close-knit organization. The beneficiaries numbering 5.5 Lakhs, include serving railway employees and their family members and dependents, retired railway employees, their family members and dependents and certain other categories of staff such as contractors, labour, vendors, licensed porters etc.

The services are provided through a network of 1 Zonal Hospital; 1 Workshop Hospital; 5 Divisional hospitals and 2 Sub-divisional hospitals; 56 Health Units and 9 Lockup dispensaries.

·No specific consultant existing for Medical

 department. The public interference is covered by commercial department, through Railway User’sconsultative committee.
